AEGEAN INSTITUTE OF THE SEA AND MARITIME LAW

It functions as a Legal Institute Governed by Public Law (NPDD), subsidised by the State budget.

Its aim is the research and study of the Law of the Sea and Maritime Law.

It is represented by the President of the Board of Directors (who is an active professor at the Aegean University), or, in the President's absence, by his Director, appointed by the Minister of Justice.
