THE 2004 OLYMPIC GAMES
http://www.athens.olympics.org
The realization of the 2004 Olympic Games in Greece, beyond the systematic preparation of the country in athletics, presumes the timely and complete preparation of relevant public records that are involved in the preparatory activities of the Games. The Ministry of Justice will achieve distinguished institutional obligations that are contracted with the realisation of the process of credentials of those individuals who will be involved in any way in the Olympic Games.
During the year 2004, the Olympic Security Committee will submit applications to the Ministry of Justice (which will total almost three-hundred thousand) for the assurance of a clean penal record for all individuals who will pursue their accreditation in the country by being involved (volunteers, escorts, trainers, etc) in the Games.
The obligations in question mainly involve the Independent Criminal Records Department of Central Services of the Ministry of Justice, as well as Criminal Records Services offices located in Olympic Cities (cities where some parts of the Games will take place) all over Greece.
The Ministry of Justice has arranged for the timely practice and development of administrative action that aims to secure the necessary human and technological workforce, so that the responsible Criminal Records Services will accomplish the relative institutional obligations competently and efficiently.
